To be considered for ABAO Membership:
Your alumni association shall have a reasonable number of active members. The ABAO defines active membership as those who pay dues, plan and/or regularly attend alumni events, and have a presence or affiliation within your home University.
Your alumni association will need to show that they are established. This can be accomplished by providing a copy of your governing documents: bylaws, constitution, standing rules, etc.
Your alumni association needs to have a financial stake in this organization.
Your alumni association needs to have a web presence (facebook, personal website, twitter, etc).
Your organization must designate a person who has organizational authority to make binding decisions.
